Fellaini to leave Manchester United having opened talks on move

Marouane Fellaini could complete a move to Galatasaray next week having began talks with the Turkish outfit, The Mirror reports.

The club’s sporting director Cenk Ergun has been very open with regards to their interest in the Belgian, stating to Turkish outlet Ajansspor: “Fellaini will leave Manchester United and he is now in our radar.

“We are in talks with Fellaini. We have made an approach, we are close and if we get Fellaini we will end our pursuit of [Villarreal’s Alfred] N’Diaye.

“We need a player like Fellaini who can move around in midfield.”

With United reportedly close to a deal for Nemanja Matic, having also tracked a number of other midfield targets closely this summer, Fellaini is now deemed surplus to requirements.

The 29-year-old started 18 of 28 league appearances last season, and made a further 11 outings en route to the Europa League title.
