Arsenal table first official bid for Aubameyang below Dortmund valuation

Progress has seemingly been made in Arsenal’s pursuit of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with German outlet Kicker reporting that the Gunners have lodged a €50m bid.

The Gabonese striker missed Borussia Dortmund’s match with Hertha Berlin on Friday night amidst the transfer speculation, but the Bundesliga outfit are set to reject Arsenal’s first official bid.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a move away from Germany for some time, coming close to a move to China in the summer, and the bid reportedly submitted by the Londoners is significantly lower than the figures that were being bandied about at the time.

Indeed, with three years still to run on Aubameyang’s current contract, Kicker claim that Dortmund will not listen to offers below €60m to force through a move this month.
