Swansea set to make double signing for Clement

Swansea City are poised to land Martin Olsson and Luciano Narsingh as Paul Clement kicks off his tenure as manager with new signings.

Clement was made Swansea manager at the start of the month and has been assured there will be money to spend on new players as the Welsh outfit bid to steer clear of the bottom three.

The 44-year-old has made strengthening their defence a priority this month and with that Swansea are set to sign Norwich City full-back Olsson, rekindling the club’s interest in the Swede from two years ago.

Olsson, 28, is one of several high earners Norwich are looking to shift from their wage bill and the speedy full-back is set to complete a £5m deal to the Premier League strugglers, according to The Daily Mirror.

However, the Sweden international isn’t the only fresh face Swansea fans can expect this week, with Clement’s side also on the verge of securing the services of PSV Eindhoven forward Narsingh for £4m, reports The Daily Mail.

The 26-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and PSV are keen to cash in on the Netherlands international rather than lose him for free in the summer.

Narsingh has only started nine league games for PSV this season while making a further six appearances from the bench. A return of just one goal and one assist would suggest why he has struggled to get in the team when fit.
