Arsenal midfielder transfer listed ahead of January window
Arsenal have made out-of-favour midfielder Mohamed Elneny available for transfer, claims The Sun.
Elneny has spent the last two years at Arsenal after joining from Swiss side Basel during Arsene Wenger’s time at the club.
The Egypt international has never been first choice at Arsenal but has dropped even further down the pecking order under Unai Emery this season.
Arsenal signed Uruguay international Lucas Torreira and 19-year-old Matteo Guendouzi in the summer and both are above Elneny in the pecking order for places.
With Emery lining up a January move for Villarreal midfielder Pablo Fornals, Elneny is free to leave the Emirates next year.
Elneny is yet to make a Premier League appearance this season and has been limited to just four starts in the cup competitions.
Of players that have started at least three Europa League games this season, only Arsenal teammate Sokratis (94.7%) has a better pass accuracy than Elneny (94.2%).
