Real Madrid plan £500m Premier League raid for manager and three stars
According to The Mail Real Madrid are planning a huge summer of spending following the disappointing defence of their La Liga crown.
The Spain and European champions are a whopping 19 points back on runaway league leaders Barcelona ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Valencia - who along with Atletico sit above Zinedine Zidane’s men, currently occupying fourth.
The Frenchman’s job has understandably come under scrutiny and reports have resurfaced linking the club with a move for Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.
They would no doubt hope to entice the Argentine with a big transfer kitty and The Mail are also claiming that £500m could be made available for the signings of Premier League trio David de Gea, Eden Hazard and Harry Kane.
All three have been heavily linked to Real Madrid in the past and it is believed that the Spanish giant could make their interest concrete in the latter pairing this summer having already failed in their attempts to sign the Manchester United keeper in the past.
Their need for reinforcements at both ends has been clear this season, conceding twice as many goals as Barcelona in the league thus far (18) whilst scoring 18 goals fewer.
Harry Kane alone has scored more than three times as many league goals (21) as Madrid’s joint-top scorers Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale (both 6).
