Juventus are on the verge of completing a £20m deal to sign Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic, according to The Daily Express.
Matic, 27, who only re-joined Chelsea in 2014, was pivotal in their title winning campaign last season but started the current campaign poorly and has struggled to nail down a place in the team under Guus Hiddink.
Chelsea are expected to make a raft of changes to the squad in the summer and they have already been linked with several midfielders, as Matic’s future looks increasingly away from Stamford Bridge beyond this season.
Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has already sanctioned Matic’s sale and it would now appear a foregone conclusion that Juventus will wrap up the signing of the Serbia international.
Matic finished last season with the most tackles and interceptions combined in the Premier League (201), but he has only managed 139 this time around.
