Manchester United star set to miss key Sevilla match
Manchester United look set to be without Paul Pogba for Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Sevilla after the midfielder missed training on Monday, reports The Times.
Pogba suffered a training ground injury on Friday that forced him to miss Saturday’s 2-1 win over Liverpool and now the France international is unlikely to feature for the second match running.
Jose Mourinho’s side welcome Sevilla to Old Trafford on Tuesday night for the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie after a 0-0 draw in Spain a fortnight ago.
Pogba has endured a turbulent 2018 due to injuries and uncertainties about his future at United but his absence would be a big blow for the Red Devils.
Despite featuring in just 25 of United’s 43 matches in all competitions this season, only Anthony Martial (76) has completed more dribbles than Pogba (67) at the club. Furthermore, Pogba has played a direct hand in 13 goals in that period.
