Inter plot audacious move for Real Madrid midfielder
Inter want to sign Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos after being left behind in the transfer window by rivals AC Milan this summer, reports Sport Mediaset, via AS.
Kroos has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League since joining Madrid from Bayern Munich in 2014 but now Inter are ready to try their luck for the Germany international.
Milan have spent nearly £150m on new players in this transfer window and have even managed to sign Leonardo Bonucci from rivals Juventus, while Inter are yet to make a major splash this summer.
Luciano Spalletti’s side are fully aware that Madrid are not looking to sell Kroos but are ready to test their resolve in a bid to kickstart their summer.
While Kroos hasn’t always been at his best since joining Zinedine Zidane’s side, he was immense for the European champions last season. In fact, only Luis Suarez (13) provided more assists in La Liga last term than the German (12).
Not only that, but only Samuel Umtiti (92.9%) boosted a better pass success rate than the Madrid No.8 (92.2%), while only Steven N’Zonzi (79.8) averaged more passes per La Liga game than Kroos (71.4%), highlighting how influential he was for Zidane’s side.
