He wants to stay at AC Milan, says Donnarumma’s brother-in-law
Gianluigi Donnarumma wants to stay at AC Milan, according to the goalkeeper’s brother-in-law.
The young Italy international has dominated headlines this summer amidst reports that the teenage sensation has turned down a new deal at San Siro.
Interest remains high in the 18-year-old, with Real Madrid believed to be leading the race to secure his services.
However, according to Donnarumma’s brother-in-law, the goalkeeper is still keen on staying with Milan.
“Gigio has never said that he wants to leave AC Milan, he has only demanded more time to think about the offer of the club because he wanted to focus on the national team,” he is quoted as saying by Il Mattino via Calciomercato.com.
“AC Milan representatives were in a hurry and they didn’t give him any time to think. Gigio doesn’t want to leave AC Milan. He hasn’t even asked Raiola whether there are other clubs interested. He only wants to stay at AC Milan.
“Money is no problem. Nobody was paid less than him last season but he never complained, he doesn’t care about money, he’s so young that he wouldn’t even know how to spend it. He has never thought about leaving AC Milan.”
