Wolves ready £20m bid for Premier League midfielder
Wolves are already planning for next season in the Premier League and want to sign Stoke midfielder Joe Allen, claims The Sun.
Nuno’s side will play Premier League football for the first time since 2012 after wrapping up the Championship title in sensational fashion earlier this month.
Wolves have been cleared of an wrongdoing following complaints from their league rivals about their relationship with super agent Jorge Mendes and are now preparing a summer spending spree.
With Stoke set to be relegated to the Championship, Wolves want to hand Allen the chance to stay in the Premier League and are weighing up a £20m move for the former Liverpool midfielder.
The Potters shelled out £13m to sign Allen from Liverpool in 2016 and Paul Lambert’s side will struggle to hold onto the Wales international if they fail to beat the drop.
Stoke are three points adrift of safety with two games remaining but most of the sides above them have a game in hand.
The 28-year-old has only missed one Premier League game for Stoke this season and has weighed in with six assists and two goals in that time.
Furthermore, the Welshman has won possession in the midfield third more times than any other team-mate in the league this season (123).
