Inter have failed in their attempts to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.
Pastore’s agent, Marcelo Simonian, has been based in Milan in the last few days in a bid to broker a deal for his client to return to Italy.
PSG are keen to recoup some of their investment from the summer arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe but have so far only managed to shift Lucas Moura.
The Argentina international even turned down interest from Tottenham and Liverpool in order to try and seal a return to Italy but Inter were unable to get a deal over the line.
Pastore will now stay with the Ligue 1 giants for the remainder of the season as Inter could not afford to sign the 28-year-old on a permanent basis.
The Argentine has only managed to start eight league matches this season, before forced to make a further seven appearances from the bench.
Despite struggling for continuity on the pitch, Pastore has still scored four goals and provided one assist in that time.
