Chelsea put £10m price tag on loan star

Chelsea will command in excess of £10m for loan star Nathan Ake amid interest from Watford, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Ake, 21, is currently on a season-long loan deal at Watford but the versatile defender has impressed under Quique Sanchez Flores and reports have emerged suggesting the Hornets want to make the switch permanent.

Chelsea will wait to make a decision on Ake’s future until Guus Hiddink’s successor is confirmed but even then it is unlikely the Netherlands Under-21 international has a serious future at Stamford Bridge.

In the case that Ake is deemed surplus to requirements, Chelsea will reportedly look to fetch in excess of £10m for his signature, with Watford currently in pole position to sign him.

Of players aged 21 and under to have made more than five appearances in the Premier League this season, only Dele Alli (7.29) and Anthony Martial (7.21) have garnered a higher WhoScored rating than Ake (7.20).
