Tottenham are weighing up a move for Lille striker Jonathan David, according to Football Insider.
The Canada international has been linked with a Premier League move this summer, with Manchester United and Chelsea keeping tabs on the striker.
However, while United have since signed Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna, Spurs are hoping to beat Chelsea in the race to land David.
The 24-year-old ended last season with 19 league goals to his name, scoring 14 in 2024; no player in Ligue 1 has scored more this calendar year.
Spurs are in the market for a new striker and have also been monitoring Brentford's Ivan Toney, with the Bees reportedly willing to drop their asking price for the frontman due to a lack of interest.

David has just one year left to run on his current deal with Lille, with Olivier Letang previously admitting that the forward is likely to leave the club this summer.
The north London side have made just one signing so far this summer, securing the services of Archie Gray from Leeds after his move to Brentford collapsed.
