Guangzhou Evergrande are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan and are prepared to pay as much as €50m (£42.7m) to sign him, reports Turkish outlet Fanatik, via Football Espana.
Turan only joined Barcelona from league rivals Atletico Madrid last year but has endured a difficult time adjusting to life with the reigning La Liga champions.
The 29-year-old is not a first-team regular and is only likely to get game time if players are injured or need to be rested and Guangzhou are hopeful of taking advantage of that by giving Barcelona an offer they cannot refuse.
The Chinese Super League champions, who already have the likes of Paulinho and Jackson Martinez on their books, are hopeful of landing Turan next month but accept a deal at the end of the season is more likely.
Only Lionel Messi (10) has scored more goals in the Champions League for Barcelona this season than Turan (4), who has managed that feat despite only featuring in 147 minutes of action in the competition.
