Paris Saint-Germain hold talks with European goal machine

Paris Saint-Germain have held initial talks with Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang about a potential return to France this summer, reports France Football, via Get French Football.

Aubameyang has been heavily linked with a move away from Dortmund this summer and the club have already conceded they may be powerless to standing in his way if Real Madrid or Barcelona firm up their interest with something official.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola would also like the Gabon international but Dortmund’s price tag appears to have made his interest brief, with PSG now exploring the possibility of landing the European goal machine.

Aubameyang and his father reportedly met with PSG director of football Patrick Kluivert in Milan at the start of the year to discuss the possibility of returning to France, having left Saint-Etienne to join Dortmund in 2013 after a brief spell at Monaco.

The 28-year-old has developed into one of the most lethal strikers in Europe since moving to Dortmund, illustrated by the sheer number of goals he has weighed in with in recent years.

In fact, in the last two Bundesliga campaigns only Robert Lewandowski (56) has scored more goals than Aubameyang (52).
