Neymar wants Liverpool ace at Barcelona

Neymar has added weight to suggestions Barcelona want to sign Philippe Coutinho by labelling his close friend as the one Premier League player he wants to play with at the Camp Nou.

Coutinho, 24, has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona since the end of last season but any interest appeared to end after the creative midfielder put pen to paper on a new long-term deal at the start of the year.

However, that has not stopped his Brazil international teammate, Neymar, from mischievously name-dropping the Liverpool talisman as a future Barcelona teammate.

“A Premier League player that I would like to have in Barcelona is Coutinho,” Neymar told The Daily Mail. “I believe Philippe Coutinho is a player that would totally fit in Barcelona.”

Coutinho has struggled to rediscover his best form since returning from an ankle ligament injury at the start of the year. The Liverpool No.10 has only completed 90 minutes in two of the 13 matches he has featured in since his comeback, with only one goal to his name in that period.

Despite missing two months of the season through injury, only four players have attempted more shots from outside the box than Coutinho (39).
