Chelsea wonderkid Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to extend his stay in west London following successful talks with new manager Frank Lampard, reports Goal.
Hudson-Odoi is currently recovering from an Achilles injury sustained in the Blues’ 2-2 draw with Burnley back in April.
However, the teenager has assurances from Lampard that he will earn regular game time upon his recovery, which is one of the main reasons for his impending decision to put pen to paper on a new contract.
Hudson-Odoi was linked with a move to Bayern Munich earlier in the year, who are looking to add new wingers to the squad following the respective departures of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
Chelsea stood firm in their decision to reject Bayern’s advances for one of the most prodigious English talents, even after he lodged a transfer request in January, and could be rewarded with Hudson-Odoi signing a new deal with the club.
It is believed that Hudson-Odoi will sign a five-year deal worth £100,000-a-week, which is a huge boost to Chelsea.
He will be following Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s lead after the midfielder, who is recovering from injury, signed a new deal at Chelsea on Saturday.
