Real Madrid enter race for Manchester United and Liverpool target

Real Madrid have stolen a march in the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen star and Manchester United and Liverpool target Kai Havertz, reports Bild via ESPN.

The German youngster is one of the hottest prospects on the continent after excelling for the Bundesliga side this season.

Indeed, Havertz has 11 goals and five assists to his name in Germany's top tier this term, and has really taken his game to the next level in 2020.

United have been credited with an interest in Havertz as head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to strengthen his midfield, while Liverpool have been monitoring Havertz as they seek to secure the German's services having seemingly missed out on Timo Werner to Chelsea.

However, the pair could now be pipped to his signature by Real Madrid, who have offered Bayer Leverkusen €80m for Havertz, but they would allow him to remain in Germany for another season on loan.
