Paris Saint-Germain defender jets out to Italy for Juventus talks
Paris Saint-Germain right-back Serge Aurier has held talks with Juventus about a summer move after flying to Milan, reports Foot Mercato.
Juventus are on the market for a new right-back after reluctantly allowing Dani Alves to leave this summer and are now weighing up alternatives to Real Madrid defender Danilo.
Max Allegri’s side aren’t willing to match Madrid’s €30m (£26.3m) valuation of Danilo and are now pursuing Aurier, who is reportedly free to leave PSG this summer in a deal worth around €25m (£21.9m).
Aurier has spent the last two years at PSG and that time has not gone without its fair share of controversy. The emergence of Thomas Meunier has also reduced his importance to the team and PSG would be willing to part ways with the Ivory Coast international for the right price.
The 24-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United earlier this year but Juventus are now the frontrunners for the right-back after his agent, Stephane Courbis, was spotted outside the club’s headquarters in Milan.
In the last four Ligue 1 campaigns no defender has registered more assists than Aurier (16).
