Sunderland have tabled a £10m bid plus Fabio Borini for Swansea forward Andre Ayew, according to Sky Sports.
Sam Allardyce’s side have been chasing Ayew’s signature since the start of January and have already seen their initial approach for the forward rebuffed.
Ayew, 26, only joined Swansea on a free transfer over the summer but has already emerged as one of their best players.
The Premier League strugglers have already sold Jonjo Shelvey to a main relegation rival this month and it would seem unthinkable for them to let another go this month.
In fact, no Swansea player has scored more league goals than Ayew (8) this season and with Swansea just four points above the bottom three losing their main goal source could be damaging to their hopes of survival.
