Crystal Palace have announced they have completed a deal to sign Ajax defender Jairo Riedewald for a reported £7.9m.
The Eagles wrapped up a deal for the 20-year-old earlier this month but have finally announced his arrival on five-year deal until June 2022.
New Palace manager Frank de Boer has successfully raided his former club for the versatile defender and makes Riedewald the club’s second signing of the summer following the loan arrival of Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
“I am very pleased to be joining Crystal Palace and after speaking with the gaffer a couple of weeks ago I was delighted to have the opportunity to come over and play in the Premier League,” he told the club’s official website.
“The Premier League is a great competition to be involved in and it is a great opportunity to be working under Frank de Boer once again having been with him at Ajax.
“I look forward to meeting my new team mates and then getting the chance to be out on the training ground and getting ready for the new season.”

Riedewald was given his full Ajax debut under De Boer but dropped completely out of favour under Peter Bosz last season.
Nevertheless, of players that made at least 15 appearances in the Eredivisie last season, Riedewald had the best pass success rate (92.4%).
