Liverpool ramp up interest in £40m-rated goalkeeper
Liverpool expect to sign Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland in a £40m deal in the summer, reports The Daily Mirror.
Jurgen Klopp has made signing a new goalkeeper a priority at the end of the season following Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius’ woes at the club.
Liverpool have already been linked with moves for Roma goalkeeper Alisson and Atletico Madrid star Jan Oblak but are now targeting Butland.
The England international is also attracting interest from Arsenal but it is believed he would prefer to link up with Klopp at Anfield.
Liverpool are even willing to make Butland the most expensive goalkeeper of all-time and are confident of securing the services of the 25-year-old.
Only Lukasz Fabianski (105) has made more saves than Butland (100) in the Premier League this season.
