Manchester City star confirms training ground injury
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has confirmed he suffered a knee injury and will now be sidelined for a few weeks.
The Argentina international suffered the injury in training this weekend and will now miss Monday's trip to Stoke.
After the trip to Stoke, Pep Guardiola's side are not in action until March 31 and Aguero is expected to recover in time to feature against Everton on Easter weekend.
Gabriel Jesus will deputise in Aguero's absence against Stoke in what will be the first Premier League game he has started since December after only just overcoming his own knee injury.
City will look to restore their 16-point advantage at the top of the Premier League against Stoke following Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday.
Even though Jesus has struggled to rediscover the form he showed in the second half of last season, the 20-year-old has still scored 11 goals across all competitions this season.
