Monaco have completed the signing of Fabio Coentrao from Real Madrid on a season-long loan deal, the Ligue 1 outfit has announced.
Coentrao, 27, has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United but has finally sealed his move away from Madrid having played little football in the last two years.
“It’s a pleasure to be here and be part of AS Monaco,” Coentrao told the club’s official website. “I will give everything I can to help the team achieve its objectives.
“Today I can not promise goals or assists but the only thing I can promise is to work hard, invest and give my everything for this jersey.”
The Portugal international has been signed as a direct replacement for Layvin Kurzawa, who joined Monaco’s direct rivals, PSG this week.
