Tottenham have edged Everton in the race to sign Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko in a deal worth £30m, the midfielder has confirmed.
Sissoko, 28, has been pushing for a move away from Newcastle all summer after impressing in the backend of France’s Euro 2016 campaign.
The 28-year-old, who hasn’t featured for Newcastle in the Championship this season, looked set to join Everton before Tottenham swooped in and got the midfielder to pen a five-year deal with the club.
Only two players completed more dribbles at Euro 2016 than Sissoko (18).
