Liverpool have been handed an injury scare after summer signing Sadio Mane was taken to hospital with a shoulder injury, reports The Guardian.
Mane, 25, only joined Liverpool this summer from Southampton in a deal worth more than £30m and made a dream debut in their 4-3 win over Arsenal in round one of the Premier League.
However, the Senegal international could now be set to serve some time on the sidelines as Liverpool await scan results on an injury sustained in a collision at their Melwood training complex.
Mane earned his place in the WhoScored Team of the Week in the Premier League after scoring on debut with a wonderful solo goal. He was also fouled more times than any other player (6).
