Paris Saint-Germain eye move for £30m-rated Southampton ace

Southampton ace Mario Lemina is one of three Premier League midfielders being considered by Paris Saint-Germain, claims The Sun.

The Ligue 1 champions are in the market for a new central midfielder after announcing Adrien Rabiot will leave the club before the start of next season.

Reports emerge earlier this month claiming PSG had won the race to sign Ajax starlet Frankie De Jong but they have since been rubbished.

De Jong’s asking price has increased from £40m to £70m over the course of the season and Manchester City and Bayern Munich are the current favourites for the Netherlands international.

PSG are now assessing alternatives to De Jong and that is how £30m-rated former Juventus midfielder Lemina has ended up on their radar.

Thomas Tuchel’s side are reportedly also considering Premier League raids for Watford dynamo Abdoulaye Doucoure and Everton’s Idrissa Gueye, though the latter is unlikely.

Of players that have attempted at least 75 dribbles in the Premier League since August 2016, only three players have a better success rate than Lemina (80.7%).
