Bolasie leaves Everton for Anderlecht

Belgian giants have confirmed the arrival of Everton winger Yannick on loan for the remainder of the season.

Bolasie spent the first half of the season on loan with Championship giants Aston Villa before cutting short his stay at Villa Park.

Everton manager Marco Silva was left miffed by Bolasie’s decision to return to Merseyside as there is no place for the 29-year-old.

A return to Crystal Palace was mooted briefly but the Eagles ended their interest after re-signing Bakary Sako from West Brom.

Bolasie has failed to rediscover his best form since suffering a serious knee injury against Manchester United in December 2016.

The DR Congo international made 21 league appearances for Villa in the Championship prior to terminating his loan deal four months ahead of schedule.

Bolasie played a direct hand in six goals in that time (two goals, four assists), but a WhoScored rating of 6.63 ranks 14th of all Villa players this term.
