Manchester United will need to pay Everton £65m in order to sign Romelu Lukaku, reports The Sun.
Lukaku, 22, has been in sensational form for Everton this season and has courted interest from Louis van Gaal, who is reportedly keen to bolster his offensive options with an out and out goalscorer.
United have only scored 13 goals in their last 13 league games and have failed to score in four of those matches.
Roberto Martinez’s men have no interest in selling Lukaku and hope their staggering £65m valuation will ward off interest from some of Europe’s top clubs.
Lukaku, who has admitted to having ambitions of playing in the Champions League, is currently the Premier League’s top goalscorer (15).
