Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho insists there are no players exempt from being dropped following Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s recent struggles.
Pogba, 24, arrived for a world record sum over the summer but his performances have yet to live up to the billing and there has been widespread criticism.
Ibrahimovic has also struggled in recent outings having made a hugely positive start to life at United and Mourinho has warned the duo they will be dropped if he is unhappy with their performances.
“No,” The Daily Mirror quote Mourinho as saying when asked if he had any untouchable players, having previously said that during his first stint as Chelsea manager. “That was 11 years ago, different Premier League, different situation. [Chelsea were] the best team by far, that’s a different story.
“Nobody is untouchable now. Untouchable in our team I think has to be the spirit, the commitment, the pride, the commitment to the club, the respect to the fans. That has to be untouchable, but not players.”
Ibrahimovic has had at least 10 more shots than any other player in the Premier League this season (41).
