Bournemouth have confirmed the signing of Benik Afobe from Wolves for an undisclosed fee, though the deal is subject to Premier League clearance.
Rumours began to pick up pace over the weekend that the Premier League newboys were set to secure the services of the 22-year-old striker, who has scored 22 league goals over the last 12 months.
And on Sunday, the Cherries confirmed that the deal was completed, with Afobe signing a four-and-a-half year deal following a successful medical.
"We are absolutely delighted to secure the signature of another undoubted talent in Benik Afobe," Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake told the club's official website.
"It has been difficult to miss Benik's oustanding progress as a player, firstly with MK Dons and then then Wolves, where he has been a consistent threat in front of goal. His pedigree as an Arsenal Academy product must not be underestimated."
Afobe becomes the club's second signing in January following the loan capture of Juan Iturbe.
