Everton have put a £100m price tag on the head of Romelu Lukaku to ward off potential interest in the summer, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Lukaku’s current deal isn’t due to expire until 2019 but the striker has told the club he has no interest in renewing his contract with a summer move away from Goodison Parks on the cards.
The 23-year-old has been in sensational goalscoring form this season and has been regularly linked with a return to Chelsea, three years after leaving to join Everton on a permanent basis.
However, Ronald Koeman’s side have no interest in selling their best player and will demand £100m from any club looking to prize the Belgium international away from Merseyside.
It would make Lukaku one of top two most expensive players in the world, depending on the true cost of Manchester United’s deal to re-sign Paul Pogba last summer.
Lukaku is currently leading the way in the race to finish as the top goalscorer in the Premier League, four goals ahead of Harry Kane (24).
