Romero set for United move

 

Sergio Romero has agreed a deal to sign for Manchester United, according to Gazzetta.it. 

 

The Argentine has emerged as a surprise target for Louis van Gaal's side in the wake of Victor Valdes' impending exit from Old Trafford. 

 

After seeing out his contract with Sampdoria, Romero is now a free agent and can sign for any team he so pleases as and when.

United how appear to have convinced the 28-year-old to sign a three-year deal with the Manchester side. 

 

Should he indeed move to the Premier League team, as reports suggests, he will become their fifth summer signing after Memphis Depay, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Matteo Darmian and Morgan Schneiderlin.
