England manager considers shock recall for West Brom forward

England manager Gareth Southgate is weighing up a surprise recall for West Brom forward Jay Rodriguez, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Southgate was in attendance at the King Power Stadium for West Brom’s 1-1 draw away to Leicester on Monday evening and Rodriguez was among the reasons why he went to the game.

Rodriguez has not featured for England since earning his first and only senior cap against Chile in November 2013 and the 28-year-old has endured a tortuous time with injuries since then.

West Brom signed the versatile forward from Southampton over the summer in a deal worth in excess of £10m but he has struggled to get going this season.

Rodriguez has only scored one goal in eight league appearances so far this season.
