Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante has a €25m (£19.8m) release clause in his contract, it has been revealed by French newspaper Le Parisien, via Metro.
Kante, 24, joined Leicester from Ligue 1 outfit Caen for £5.6m as a relatively unknown quantity last summer but he has quickly emerged as one of the best players in the Premier League.
The France international’s performances have been integral to Leicester’s title winning campaign this season and his displays haven’t gone unnoticed by some of the biggest clubs in Europe, who have now been alerted to his availability this summer.
Kante has completed more tackles and interceptions combined than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues this season (306).
