Liverpool are leading the race to sign Newcastle United midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move for the Netherlands international this summer but are reportedly refusing to match Newcastle’s £25m valuation of the midfielder.
However, Liverpool are now ready to take advantage of the situation having grown frustrated by the time it has taken Piotr Zielinski to decide on his future.
Wijnaldum became the first player in Premier League history to score at least 11 goals in a single-campaign all on home turf.
