Juventus told to cough up €40m for Lyon ace

Juventus have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Corentin Tolisso after being told Lyon will only accept €40m (£33.9m) for his services, reports Tuttosport, via Football Italia.

Max Allegri’s side have been tracking Tolisso for some time now and have even reportedly agreed terms with the highly rated France U21 international, although they had hoped to use Mario Lemina as a makeweight in a deal to bring him to Italy.

However, Lyon are not interested in the former Marseille midfielder and will not budge on their €40m valuation of the 22-year-old, which they want to be paid all in cash.

The Ligue 1 giants have already confirmed there will be major sales at the end of the season, which has given Juventus encouragement in their desire to snap up the Arsenal target, but Lyon’s demands could thwart their interest.

Tolisso, who can also play right back as well as central midfield, has completed more passes than any other Lyon player in Ligue 1 this season (1161).
