Liverpool and Chelsea are keen on signing Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, according to Spanish publication Fichajes.
Despite Newcastle's recent downturn in form, Guimaraes has been a key player of the Magpies as evidenced by a WhoScored rating of 7.11, that ranking third for the club.
Newcastle would be reluctant to cash in on the Brazil international, who provided his third assist of the season in Saturday's 3-2 home defeat to Manchester City.
However, both Liverpool and Chelsea would be willing to test the Magpies' desire to retain the 26-year-old's services.
Liverpool are in the midst of a midfield rebuild having brought in four new faces in the middle of the park over the summer.
Chelsea would also look to strengthen in the middle of the park should they sell Conor Gallagher to remain within Financial Fair Play regulations.
Guimaraes has established himself as one of the Premier League's most complete midfielders following his arrival from French side Lyon almost two years ago.
