West Ham flop completes permanent Valencia switch

Valencia have announced they have completed a deal to sign Simone Zaza from Juventus on a permanent deal worth a reported £13.5m.

Zaza, 25, started the season on loan at West Ham but failed to make any significant impression in England before returning to Italy and being farmed out to Valencia at the start of the year.

The Italy international’s time with the Spanish giants has fared much better and Valencia have already activated their clause to make the switch permanent and got Zaza to sign a four-year deal that runs until 2021.

Zaza has scored four goals in 14 league appearances for Valencia this season, having failed to score in eight Premier League matches for the Hammers in the first six months of the campaign.
