Manchester City will sit down with Kevin De Bruyne and discuss a contract extension once the 2019/20 campaign is over, claims The Daily Mail.
De Bruyne admitted earlier this week he would consider his future at City if the Premier League outfit were forced to serve their two-year ban in the Champions League.
City insist they have done nothing wrong and are hugely confident the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will overturn UEFA's decision to hand them a two-year competition ban.
De Bruyne still has three years left to run on his current City £280,000-a-week deal and is happy at the club but sensationally opened the door to a potential exit in the future.
The Belgium international said he would be able to cope with one year out of the Champions League but two would make it difficult to stay.
City are desperate to secure De Bruyne's long-term future and view the 28-year-old as a possible captain for next season.
Pep Guardiola's side plan to sit down with De Bruyne's representatives as soon as the current campaign is over, though it is still unclear when that will be.
De Bruyne has bounced back from an injury-hit 2018/19 campaign in stunning fashion this term and has arguably been the best player in the Premier League.
