Lavezzi completes move to China

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ezequiel Lavezzi has completed his move to Chinese Super League outfit Hebei China Fortune, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Lavezzi, 30, has been regularly linked with a move away from PSG since the start of the season following Angel Di Maria’s arrival and the Argentina international had looked destined to join either Chelsea or Inter last month.

The former Napoli winger was set to travel with the PSG squad for their league encounter with Marseille at the weekend, but manager Laurent Blanc confirmed his late withdrawal was due to the player negotiating his move away from the club.

Only three of Lavezzi’s 16 league appearances came from the start this season and he hasn’t scored a league goal since November 7 (vs Toulouse). Moreover, of players to have scored at least 15 goals over the last three Ligue 1 campaigns, only two players have a better conversion rate than Lavezzi (20.7%).
