Manchester United have announced Anthony Martial has put pen to paper on a new long-term deal running until the summer of 2024.
Martial’s previous deal was due to expire at the end of next season after United triggered a 12-month extension before Christmas.
The France international is a fan favourite at Old Trafford after scoring a terrific solo goal against Liverpool on his United debut in September 2015.
Martial rejected an offer of a new contract back in October after struggling to win over Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho wanted to sell the France international last summer but the United board blocked his departure.
Martial would likely have angled for a move away had Mourinho remained in charge but is enjoying his football again at United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The 23-year-old actually rediscovered his best form during Mourinho’s last month in charge, netting in five consecutive Premier League games.
Since making his United debut in 2015, Martial has scored more Premier League goals than any player at the club (32).
