Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the signing of defender Marc Bartra from Barcelona.
The Spain international had been told he was free to leave the club after making just four league starts for the La Liga champions last season.
A host of Premier League teams had shown an interest in the 25-year-old, who is currently with the Spain squad ahead of Euro 2016, but Dortmund won the race to secure his services.
Bartra will sign a four-year deal for the Bundesliga giants when the transfer window officially opens next month, with the centre-back setting Dortmund back €8m.
"FC Barcelona wish Marc Bartra all the best in his new phase of his career as a player and he will be invited to say goodbye to the fans personally at the start of next season." a statement read on Barcelona's official club website.
Bartra becomes Dortmund's second summer signing following the acquisition of Ousmane Dembele from Rennes.
