Premier League quartet courting Rangers forward

Leicester are among those weighing up a move for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos, reports The Sun.

The Foxes will look to maximise the financial impact the COVID-19 pandemic will have on the Scottish side as the Premier League side looks to bring in a successor for Jamie Vardy.

Now the wrong side of 30, Leicester will need to weigh up options to replace Vardy in the long run, with Morelos among those Brendan Rodgers has earmarked.

However, Leicester wouldn't have a free run at Morelos, who has attracted plenty of interest south of the border.

Indeed, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and West Ham are all courting the Colombian, who has scored six goals in the Europa League this season; no player has bagged more.

Rangers had previously insinuated they wouldn't sell for anything less than £20m, yet they may now be forced into accepting a lower fee due to football's suspension.

Villa may have added a new striker in January, yet with their strikers netting just six league goals between them this season, Dean Smith may look to bring in a new frontman provided the Villans can avoid relegation.

Palace and West Ham, too, are looking to strengthen in the final third with Morelos among their targets, with the 23-year-old netting 12 league goals this season.
