Sunderland have been dealt with another blow in defence after it was confirmed Jason Denayer would miss up to a month through injury, reports The Daily Mail.
Denayer, 21, tore his adductor muscle during Belgium U21s fixture against Montenegro on Friday.
With huge matches against Stoke and West Ham to come in the next fortnight, this spells further bad news for David Moyes, who is already without nine players due to injury.
Denayer, who is currently on a season-long loan move from Manchester City, has made three Premier League appearances this season, with only Donald Love (3) averaging more tackles per game for Sunderland (Denayer – 2.7).
