Monaco sign Tottenham outcast

Tottenham winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou has secured a loan move back to France by joining Monaco on loan for the remainder of the season, the Premier League side has announced.

Ligue 1 strugglers Monaco reached an agreement with Tottenham on Wednesday night and Nkoudou, who previously played for Nantes and Marseille, completed his medical on Thursday morning.

Tottenham paid £9m to sign Nkoudou from Marseille in August 2016 but the 23-year-old failed to make any impression at the club.

The French winger has only made 26 appearances for Tottenham since then and endured a failed loan stint at Burnley last season.

Nkoudou will now hope to kickstart his career back in France, though there is no option to buy in his loan agreement with Monaco and he will return to Tottenham at the end of the season.

Since August 2016, only Adama Traore (every 12 minutes), Sofiane Boufal (every 17.3 minutes) and Eden Hazard (every 19.3 minutes) require fewer minutes per dribble (21.4 minutes) in the Premier League (15+ appearances).
