Real Madrid starlet commits long-term future to club

 

Real Madrid have announced Marco Asensio has put pen to paper on a new six-year deal that runs until June 2023.

 

Asensio’s previous deal still had five years left to run but Madrid have moved to reward the youngster due to his growing importance in the team.

 

The 21-year-old is the latest Madrid player to commit their long-term future to he club in the last month, following in the footsteps of Karim Benzema, Marcelo, Dani Carvajal and Isco.

 

Asensio is widely regarded as one of the brightest young talents in Europe and has been tipped as the future of the club, with reports suggesting he now has a stunning €500m (£438.5m) release clause.

The Spain international has played a direct hand in three goals in six league appearances this season, while he is only one goal shy from matching his tally across the whole of last season.
