Juventus are confident of luring Nemanja Matic away from Chelsea this summer, reports ESPN.
The arrival of N’Golo Kante has put the Serb’s first team spot under pressure, with Matic struggling for form and minutes for the Blues last season.
Juventus had previously enquired about the 27-year-old, only to be told that Chelsea would not entertain any offers until a midfielder had been signed.
However, the acquisition of Kante means Matic is surplus to requirements for the Blues, with the Serie A champions keen on bringing the tough tackling midfielder to Italy.
Matic has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United, who are courting Juventus man Paul Pogba.
Matic’s Juventus move, therefore, could speed up Pogba’s potential return to Old Trafford, with the two teams still negotiating on a price for the France international.
