Fantasy Football: Draft 11 Premier League Tips in Gameweek 24

Available at a cut price due to the fact that Chelsea have leaked goals to the likes of Spurs and City of late, Courtois has a far more favourable task ahead when they travel to Aston Villa. Paul Lambert's men have not scored in 6 matches so Courtois is unlikely to drop points for conceding goals, though the hosts drought will force them to try to get shots off whenever possible, so the Belgian may be called into action nonetheless.
Branislav Ivanovic (C)
While Villa's inability to score goals helps to convince of Ivanovic's selection, the Serbian's record against the Midlands outfit makes him a must have and a great choice for your captain this week, with double points up for grabs. The defender has netted more goals against Paul Lambert's strugglers (4) than any other club, whilst also registering an assist in each of his last two league appearances away from home.
Ashley Williams
After a captain's display against Southampton last time out, completing a heroic late double clearance to keep the Saints at bay, Ashley Williams will hope to marshal the Swansea defence to another clean sheet against Sunderland. The Black Cats have only scored once in their last 4 meetings with the Swans, while Williams has made more clearances than any other Premier League player this season (11.2 per game).
Marcin Wasilewski
A budget option for your back line could be Leicester's Marcin Wasilewski, who will keep his place in the side after scoring against United last time out. The Foxes will hope to have a better time of things defensively against Palace, who have failed to score in 4 of their last 5 away matches in the league, and the Pole is now Pearson's top ranking player according to WhoScored.com's statistical ratings (7.22).
Pablo Zabaleta
Always heavily involved for Manchester City at either end, Pablo Zabaleta will hope for a repeat performance against Hull this weekend having registered 2 assists against the Tigers in the reverse fixture. Steve Bruce's side have failed to score in 7 of their last 9 away days in all competitions and only three players have averaged more tackles per game in the league than Zabaleta this season (3.7).
Remy Cabella
With two man of the match awards from WhoScored.com in his last three appearances Remy Cabella seems to be finding his feet at Newcastle under John Carver. The Frenchman opened his account for the club last time out and will hope to be in the thick of the action once again against a Stoke side that have conceded 10 goals in their last 3 visits to St. James' Park.
Frank Lampard
It's a gamble, but if you're looking for a cheap option to make up the numbers this week taking a punt on Frank Lampard could be well worth it if Pellegrini elects to rotate his squad with the Champions League's return on the horizon. The veteran midfielder has scored in his last 2 appearances against Hull, while only Papiss Cisse has scored more goals from the bench than the Englishman (4) this season.
Philippe Coutinho
Liverpool's return to form has been notable of late and one man who has perhaps played a bigger role than any other is Philippe Coutinho, who has been in fine form recently after a slow start to the season. The Reds face a Merseyside derby this Saturday and Coutinho scored on his last visit to Goodison, while the return of Daniel Sturridge will surely improve the Brazilian’s chances of picking up an assist.
Daniel Sturridge
That leads us on nicely to the returning striker himself, with Daniel Sturridge taking just 12 minutes to score on his return to the side against West Ham last time out. His comeback is as timely for Liverpool as it is untimely for their fierce rivals Everton, against whom Sturridge has netted 6 goals in his career, including 3 in just 83 minutes of action against the Toffees over two appearances last season.
Charlie Austin
After yet another away defeat QPR will be delighted to be back at Loftus Road this weekend, with no player likely to be more pleased with a return to home soil than Charlie Austin. Only Diego Costa has scored more goals in league matches at home this season than Austin's (9), with the England hopeful scoring a wonder goal in the reverse fixture against Southampton, taking his career tally to 4 in 5 appearances against the Saints.
Theo Walcott
Like Sturridge, another player who has only recently returned from injury but done so in impressive fashion is Theo Walcott, who followed up his goal in the cup against Brighton with another upon his return to the starting XI in the league with a well-taken strike against Villa. Walcott was famously injured in a meeting with Tottenham this time last year but his record against Spurs is notable, scoring 4 goals and picking up 3 assists in his last 6 appearances in the North London derby.
