Ronaldo rules roost in player form rankings ahead of weekend action


There's a familiar face at the top of the player form rankings across Europe's top five leagues ahead of this weekend's action, with Cristiano Ronaldo's man of the match display against Bologna last time out enough to gain the lead.

The Portugal international netted the opening goal in the 2-1 win, securing a rating of 8.61 and third consecutive Serie A star man award. The 34-year-old has now scored in four of his last six league appearances for Italian champions Juventus and is one of five Serie A stars in the top 10.

His closest rival in the form rankings table is Aston Villa's Jack Grealish, who climbed a whopping 25 places following a match-winning showing against Brighton. Islam Slimani is the leading representative from Ligue 1 having continued his sensational start to life on loan at Monaco. The Algerian striker found the net for the fifth time this season as well as registering an assist for the fourth game running as the French outfit came from behind to beat Rennes.
